Covington - Miss Anna Martha Aldridge, 86 of Covington died Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill where she had been a patient for 13 days. She had been a music teacher at Perrysville HS. Miss Aldridge was a graduate of Covington HS, St. Mary of the Woods and DePaus University. She was a member of Covington United Methodist Church, the Win One Class at the church. Richard Henry Lee Chapter DAR; Psi Iota Xi Sorority; Troy Chapter 145 Order of Eastern Star, Wabash Valley Garden Club; Book Lovers; American Legion Auxiliary and Fountain County Historical Society. Born Oct 1, 1888, at Covington, she was a daughter of Divit and Lydia Stucker Aldridge. Surviving is a sister in law, Helen Aldridge of Covington and several cousins. A brother, Dr. J.W. Aldridge is deceased. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope. Friends may call at Bodien & Shelby FH after 7 p.m. today and 2 p.m. Friday. The body will lie in state in the church one hour prior to services.
